Botulinum Toxin: Glabellar and Forehead Region


To understand how to appropriately administer Botulinum Toxin in the Glabellar and Forehead region and achieve optimal aesthetic outcomes.


By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Describe the origin, insertion, innervation and function of the Procerus, Corrugator supercilii and Frontalis muscles
  • Describe which blood vessels lie in proximity to Botulinum toxin injection sites
  • Identify appropriate indications for treatment of the Forehead and Glabellar regions with Botulinum Toxin
  • Can state the licensed dose for each cosmetic indication for each brand
  • Understand where to administer injections accurately using an appropriate injection technique, product and dose placement
  • Understand how to adjust toxin dose and placement for individualised treatment
  • Understand ways of mitigating against a poor aesthetic outcome
